Yesterday, we cursed the Eagles for not giving up a second round pick for tight end Tony Gonzalez. Same old Eagles, we said. Afraid to get a big time pass catcher.
Now, 24 hours later, maybe there was a different reason why they passed on Gonzalez.
Reports out of Philadelphia have the Eagles making a ... wait for it ... serious offer for Arizona receiver Anquan Boldin. Reportedly, they have offered a second round pick in tomorrow's draft, a third round pick in 2010 and offensive tackle Winston Justice (wink-wink).
Wow. In fact, double wow!
Our fingers are crossed.
