Saturday Night Special

1. The Playmaker notched his second consecutive double-double, with 10 points and 10 boards in today's 20-14 victory. That W puts us at 6-5 for the season.

2. Just finished watching OS-Who and Travis Ford knock off Texas. Longhorn forward Damion Jones is one of the most underated players in the country. The silky smooth junior is already NBA ready.

3. Kentucky can never lose enough for us. We were thrilled to watch them lose at the end to LSU. Wildcat coach Billy Gillispie just looks plain sleazy and creepy.

4. We caught some of NFL Network's drool fest over Brian Dawkins. Yes, he was the HEART of the Eagles' defense, as NFL Network told us at least 30 times today. Yet, it was that defense that needed just one fourth quarter stop against the Cardinals in the NFC Championship Game. And Dawkins and company couldn't get it done.

5. Finally, the Patriots move Mike Vrabel and Matt Cassel to KC and all they get is...wait for it... a second round pick?!? Maybe those wild rumors of a Coach Bill sex tape really were true. If so, KC's Scott Pioli must be holding the copy.
