A comeback for the ages...

Not really (© Teddy).  But it was still suh-weeeet.  Your Dodgers trailed their opponent on Opening Day Saturday, 3-zip in the bottom of the fifth inning. At that point, we had one hit.  Even worse, we had only put the ball in play twice.  Our worst two hitters started off the inning with walks.  A single put the score at 3-1 with runners on first and second.
p
And up to the plate stepped ... wait for it ... The Playmaker.
p
Now till that point he had been dreadful at the plate, striking out twice.  In fact, he hadn't even been able to muster a foul ball.  First pitch, a crappy strike that was about three inches off the plate.  The next pitch was chest high and right down the chute.  No lie, he effing crushed it.  He unleashed a gapper to left center field that ended up rolling all the way to the fence.  His double cleared the bases, drove in two runs and tied the score at 3-3.  By the time the inning was over we were up, 6-3.  A 1-2-3 6th inning cemented the opening day win.
p
For the game, The Playmaker was 1-3 (double) with 2 RBIs. He played 2 innings at first base, 3 innings at catcher (where he tagged out a runner to end an inning) and 1 inning in center field.
p
Tonight, we face the team that scored 22 runs in their first game.  TWEN--TEE  TWO RUNS!!!  And The Playmaker is slotted to be our second pitcher of the game.
p
Yikes...
