AAU: Much better...

After last night's crappy performance, The Playmaker got back on track today.  As the starting 2 guard, he scored 6 points in our first game on 3-8 shooting. He rattled in a 14 footer from the wing, had an offensive rebound put-back and a foul line jumper.  In the second game (again the starting 2 guard) he had 5 points on 2-5 shooting.  He got the first hoop of the game on a pull-up jumper at the right elbow.  He was 1-2 from the foul line.  His final hoop was his best one of the AAU season.  He got the ball deep on the right wing.  He immediately did a shot fake to get his man off the ground.  He then took one dribble to the hoop and instead of driving in (as he likes to do), he pulled up and nailed it from 12 feet.  We work all the time on shot fakes in practice, but most 11 year olds never use the move in games.  At least for one possession, The Playmaker implemented and executed the move to perfection.

Oh, yeah.  We lost both games.  But who cares?!?
