Friday thoughts from the back deck...

Sitting on the back deck in the late afternoon shade. Neighborhood is nearly completely quiet -- guess most of the neighbors have fled for the weekend. (Oh, darn!) ... Classic that as we head into the July 4th holiday weekend, we have snow falling on Mount Washington and shark shark sightings at the Cape in the same day. How great is that?!? ... You'll never guess what The Wife came home with yesterday. So great, in fact, we will wait a few days to tell you. ... The Playmaker ended his flag football camp today. His team lost in the semi-finals of the playoffs in sudden death. And yes, there were some tears after the game. We watched the action from the sideline (while other parents obeyed the No Parents on the Field rule), representing in our navy blue Phillies hat and brand new Joe McCoy Ray-Bans. The Playmaker scored one touchdown in the game, to give him 7 for the week. At the end of camp he was presented with his adidas jacket, the award for being Monday's Camper of the Day. Wearing his red OU visor, he looked like a young Sam Bradford picking up his hardware. Needless to say, we captured it all in 1080i HD. ... Have a good Friday Fourth and stay safe!
