Sorry, Albert!

Our hatred for Boston College basketball has long since been established. It stems from head coach Al Skinner. First, he did everything he could to avoid playing UMass during the Coach Cal Refuse to Lose Days. Furthermore, whenever his Eagles lose, he always manages to blame his players, not himself. And so it was with great surprise and then great joy that we watched (well, kind of...) them beat heretofore undefeated North Carolina.

First, people in New England were unable to watch the end of the game. There was a glitch within Fox SportsNet and/or NESN (there seems to be a difference of opinion between the two as to who was at fault). Some way, some how, the final two minutes were not on TV. How classic is that?!? The biggest win in 20 years and no one got to see it. That is frigging AWESOME!

Then, the story of Loser Al's HUGE W got buried (buried!) in local papers because BC was in the process of firing it's ultra popular football, Coach Jags, for playing footsie with the New York Jets. Jags' situation (including the asinine behavior of BC Athletic Director tyrant Gene DiFilippo) dominated the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, as well as WEEI.

Love it. Luh-ove it!
