Sunday Morning Thoughts...

Before our 12 Day Work Detox ends tomorrow:

1. It's all about the Holiday Hits! On Christmas Day, we recorded 33 (33!) hits to the blog. Wow. That is crazy. On New Year's Eve (while we camped out on the couch with a belly full of Chinese food), we actually got 11 hits.

2. Utah is really fast and what does their Bowl Win mean for Oklahoma?!? We got our very first look at the Utes Friday night when they took on Alabama. The same Alabama team that was ranked number one for much of the season. (For the simple, errrrrrrrrr, STUPID reason that they beat the...wait for it...Georgia Bulldogs!) Eleven point dogs, Utah went out and whipped the Crimson Tide, 31-17, in a game that wasn't even that close. So if Alabama was able to hang with MIGHTY FLORIDA (they led going into the fourth quarter, before losing 31-20), but could not come close to beating a Mountain West team, what does that mean for Oklahoma?!? Well, for starters, the Utes beat TCU, 10-0, this season. The Sooners topped TCU, 35-10. So even though WE/OU are battling the Awesome Gators, who are being given credit for being the best team on this side of the New York Giants...and even though WE/OU must stop Tim Tebow, who is being given credit for being the best QB and LEADER since, well, since forever...we are feeling pretty good about the Sooners' chances. By the way, the Utes have at least two players, receiver Freddie Brown (12 catches for 125 yards) and DE/OLB Stevenson Sylvester (3 sacks), who will be in the NFL next fall.

3. Stephon Marbury and the Boston Celtics?!? If there's one person we despise more than Paul Pierce, it is Marbury. We met him back when he was a High School Legend. The conversation lasted maybe 10 minutes. The result?!? Our conviction that he is, without a doubt, the biggest piece of sheeeeet we have ever met. Just another reason for us to loathe the Celtics.

4. Not quite sure about Chris Berman's Super Bowl Prediction...but we do think the Eagles will beat A.D. and the Minnesota Vikings today.
