Happy Friday -- The Pack is Back

All is well with The Cheeseheads!

Coming off Tuesday night's 20-7 pistol-whipping at the hands of the Lions, we switched to the Spread Offense for last night's game with the Bears. The result?

Five possessions in the game. Five touchdowns.

Incredibly, our longest drive was three plays. Think vintage USC with Matt "Where the Women at?!?" Leinart. Or this year's Oklahoma fast break offense with Sam Bradford.

Final score: Packers 34 Bears 19.

The Playmaker led the way with three receptions, good for one touchdown and two extra point conversions. (He now has a team leading six receptions.)

Palin vs The Plagiarist

We're not real big on debates, but we watched this one (after Brad Lidge's 1-2-3 inning, of course). All we know is The Plagiarist looks and acts slimy. Seriously, did he once sell used cars in Wilmington? And if Our Friend Tom Brokow said Sarah Palin won, that's good enough for us.

See Ya, CC

Wow. We did not see this one coming. We had resigned ourselves to the fact we would be heading to Milwaukee tied 1-1. Instead, one Shane Victorino grand slam later, we are heading on the road one game from NLCS. The bad (as in situational hitting/leaving runners on) was yet again washed away by the good (one big inning and great starting pitching). They even (finally) got a clean inning from the aforementioned Lidge. And how great was JC Romero? One pitch and he literally sawed Fat Albert's Prince Fielder's bat in half to end the eighth inning.

We Like Dave('s stache)

After the debate, we caught the final quarter of Pitt's upset win on the road against 10th ranked South Florida. Classic seeing Dave Wannstedt at the end of the game. One minute he is screaming the F-Bomb, the next he is damn near breaking O-Coordinator Matt Cavanaugh's back with a celebratory hug. And now, believe it or not, Pitt is in first place of the Little East. By the way, Pitt running back LeSean McCoy is smoother than smooth. A top five pick next spring, he is comparable to Curtis Martin.

That's Right

Repeat after us: Five possessions...five touchdowns.
