Happy Friday!

The world is flat = Looking forward to "tree whole days" off...

1. The Phillies! We have a good attitude about their series with the Dodgers. Coming into the season, we hoped to make the playoffs. Once that was accomplished, our goal was to win one series. Having accomplished that, we are now playing with the proverbial House Money. If we beat LA -- great! If not, we will be fine. Totally fine. Yet again last night, they got great pitching. And again, they had one big inning (getting back-to-back 6th inning dingers from Chase Utley and Pat Burrell). If Brett Myers gets the W today, the series is OVER. However, it would be a lot easier if Mr. September (Ryan Howard) could somehow become Reggie Jackson Mr. October. On a side note, having watched Manny Be Manny for the Red Sox, we never fully appreciated his offensive game. Watching Man Ram come to bat in the 8th inning of a one run playoff game is scary as sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeet if you are cheering for the Phillies. (Thankfully, Ryan Madson got him to chase a change up, which he lined out to Pedro Feliz.)

2. The Packers! Update: We lost our game Tuesday night to the Cardinals, 18-13, squandering a lead with less than three minutes to play. The Playmaker had two catches, one for an extra point. Last night, the Packers avenged last week's loss to the Lions by stomping them, 27-12. The Head Ball Coach had a chance to spread the ball around on offense, getting 11 different players at least "one touch." The Playmaker took his one touch and turned it into a 40-yard touchdown. (Since we play sideline to sideline, 40 yards is the entire length of the field. Hence, it was the equivalent of a 100 yard play! Can we get a WOO-WOO?!?) For the season, we are now 3-2. The Playmaker now has 9 catches, 2 extra points and 2 touchdowns.

3. College Football! Huge day tomorrow. Our Sooners face the texASS Bonghorns. (We are wearing our Official Bob Stoops Nike Coach's Polo at school today.) Lester takes his LSU Tigers into The Swamp, where they have placed a bounty on the head of Florida QB Tim Tebow. Mizzou gets a chance to prove the OS-Who Cowboys are Big 12 frauds. And Georgia gets to thump Phillip's Tennessee Vols. Do not disturb us tomorrow! Leave us alone!
